Officials confirmed for Scunthorpe United (Papa John's Trophy)

8 November 2021

Robert Madley will be the man in charge when Rovers travel to Scunthorpe United for the final Papa John’s Trophy North Group E match on Tuesday evening.

This is the second time Madley has taken charge of a Rovers game. He was the man in the middle when Rovers hosted Lincoln City at the Keepmoat Stadium last season.

The former Premier League official re-joined the National List of Referees at the beginning of the 2020/21 campaign following time spent officiating in Norway.

So far this season, he has overseen 15 games handing out 51 yellow cards and two reds. This is the second Papa John’s Trophy match Madley has taken charge of this season. He sent Brighton and Hove Albion U21’s Gary Dicker off in their 1-0 defeat to Walsall.

On Tuesday, he will be assisted by Hristo Karaivanov and Matthew Smith. Lucy May will be the fourth official.
