Joseph Olowu spoke to the media after his first senior goal secured a 1-1 draw at Crewe Alexandra in Sky Bet League One.
The 21-year-old got on the end of Kyle Knoyle’s cross just before half-time to earn Rovers a point at the Mornflake Stadium.
On his finish:
“I’ve been working hard to put good performances in and to cap one off with a goal was a nice feeling.
“The ball went wide after a corner and when I saw Knoyley on it I knew he had a good delivery and I gambled.
“I watched it all the way and had to stretch to get on the end of it but once I did it was great to see it hit the back of the net.”
On how the side stuck together:
“We’ve reacted well from the weekend’s performance, we can mix our game up and do the not so pretty side of it.
“As a group we never want our desire to be questioned, we showed that we will run through brick walls for each other.”
