Ringways extend Rovers partnership

30 November 2021

Ringways Motor Group has entered into their third year of a partnership with Doncaster Rovers Football Club and Club Doncaster.

With a strong family history and close connections to the Doncaster community, Ringways and Rovers have a lot in common.

Ringways Motor Group have been in Yorkshire since the 1950s. Their flagship showroom is a Ford dealership on Whitehall Road in Leeds but, priding themselves on their excellent customer service, the Group soon saw success resulting in an expansion into South Yorkshire in the 1970s with the opening of a car dealership on York Road in Doncaster. This soon relocated to Bullrush Grove, behind the main B&Q just half a mile away from the Doncaster Rover’s Home stadium and is where the modern Ringways Kia Doncaster showroom now stands, continuing to maintain a strong presence in the community.

Ringways Kia Doncaster plays an active part in this community, supporting the Doncaster Lions Club every December by providing them with a Kia Sorento to pull Santa’s sleigh. The dealership also participates in the Mission Christmas Children’s Appeal, donating toys for less fortunate children in the Yorkshire area. They take their responsibility as a member of the wonderful Doncaster community very seriously, which is why they continued to support Doncaster Rovers during the pandemic and once again for the 2021/2022 season!

Ringways have recently been acquired by D.M. Keith Motor Group, another Yorkshire-based family business.

Ringways’ Clare Wright said: “Throughout the pandemic we have continued to support Rovers because they are a key part of the Doncaster community, not only with the club but with the Foundation too.

“As a family business we like to support and look after our community like we do our own family, customers and staff, so it’s a perfect fit.

“The Doncaster Rovers team have been amazing to work with since our partnership began 3 years ago and we wish everyone at the club, players, partners and fans a wonderful 2022.”

Michael Kilby-Scott, business development manager for Club Doncaster, added: “Club Doncaster Partners was in its fifth year just as the pandemic hit. To ensure that all of our commercial Partners continued to benefit from their support of the Club, we quickly added new features. We decided to retain these features as restrictions eased and as the 2021/22 season commenced.

“These additions and the start of the season created the perfect opportunity to re-launch and re-brand our partnerships as The 100 Club - a stronger brand, and a clear statement of intent.

“We work with Ringways Kia throughout the year to deliver their sales messages to our collective Rovers and Dons fan-base as part of their partnership and across our social media channels. Continued support from Ringways helps us show that The 100 Club works.”
