Tommy Rowe spoke to the media after the defeat at Bolton in Sky Bet League One.
The 33-year-old was used as a makeshift centre-back at the University of Bolton Stadium after Joseph Olowu’s red card just before half-time.
On dealing with a setback:
“It’s difficult, we had a great start to the game and executed our plan well in terms of matching their energy.
“We caught them on the counter a couple of times and had good chances to get ourselves ahead.
“The last 10 minutes of the first-half gave it a different outlook and then we’re going in at the break thinking differently.”
On how the game got away:
“We’re still in it at 1-0 and they take risks which encouraged us, but when you’re a man down it’s hard to keep the same levels.
“We came here to unsettle them but the big moments in the game went against us and results like this hurt us.
“We’re disappointed because we ended the game on Saturday well, and started this game in a similar fashion.”
