Ro-Shaun Williams spoke to the media ahead of the Emirates FA Cup first round tie at Scunthorpe United this weekend.
The meeting at the Sands Venue Stadium is the first of two in a matter of days between the two sides.
On the importance of the FA Cup:
“It’s a local derby and we know how much it means to the fans, we’ll do all we can to give them the bragging rights.
“When I was at Shrewsbury we took Liverpool to a replay and while I was at Manchester United I went to the final in 2016.
“The FA Cup is an important competition and it allows you the chance to draw a big team in the third round.”
On trying to be consistent:
“It’s a big game for us and a good opportunity for us to progress to the second round.
“We’ve had a mixed run of games and results so now we need to start being more consistent.”
