John Bostock spoke to the media after the 4-0 defeat at Charlton Athletic in Sky Bet League One.
Goals from Elliot Lee, Conor Washington, Jayden Stockley and Ben Purrington made it a disappointing day at the office for Rovers.
On being second best:
“It was very difficult, it’s upsetting to see what happened out there because we didn’t deserve anything.
“We had to try and mix it and match them up a bit but we didn’t do that.
“We need to look after the ball better as a team, we didn’t have it enough to be able to hurt them.”
On the players taking responsibility:
“We’ve got to learn quickly and be able to play in different ways depending on the opposition.
“Every game is a big one for us due to the position we’re in, we have to make sure we’re ready for Tuesday.
“We have talent in the group but that’s not enough if you’re not working harder than the other team to display it.”
