Andy Haines will be the man in charge when Rovers host Cambridge United in Sky Bet League One.
He last took charge of a Rovers match in February – an away defeat to Fleetwood Town on a Tuesday evening. He also took charge of Rovers 2020/21 season opener against MK Dons which ended in a draw.
The Tyne & Wear based official has overseen 13 matches so far this season handing out 36 yellow cards, but no reds.
On Tuesday, he will be assisted by Billy Smallwood and Daniel Woodward. Oliver Bickle will be the fourth official.
