Richie Wellens spoke to the media following the 1-1 draw with Cambridge United in Sky Bet League One.
Ethan Galbraith’s second-half stunner secured a point for Rovers after Dan Gardner’s early own goal had put the visitors in front at the Keepmoat Stadium.
On responding to an early setback:
“It was difficult after conceding so early against a team that made changes and had fresh legs.
“They were set in their shape after the goal but I thought we responded well.
“At times we needed to be quicker but it was tough against a team that didn’t really come out.
“It’s easy to get frustrated and the game becomes scrappy, we created chances and you could see the identity in the team.”
On continuing to build:
“The ideal would have been to get another three points but we’ve shown good character to take something from it after going behind.
“As we go on and get more belief we’ll win games like that, I thought if we had got a second it would have been massive for us.
“We need to put a run together and I think we’re getting some consistency now in performances.”
