Joe Dodoo spoke to the media ahead of this weekend’s trip to Wigan Athletic in Sky Bet League One.
The 26-year-old is in line to make his league debut for Rovers against his former club at the DW Stadium.
On going up against his former club:
“They’re a fairly new team and they’ve had a good start, I’m not surprised by that because I know how the manager works.
“You can tell their intentions by the players they’ve signed, it’s early to judge but they’ve done well so far.
“Leam Richardson likes his teams to be well drilled and to apply themselves correctly on the field.”
On his fitness levels and where he can help improve Rovers:
“I feel good, myself and the staff have a plan in terms of managing me and my minutes while I’m building up.
“I like playing down the middle with the freedom to drift wide at times, I feel I can make things difficult for defenders.
“The way I play creates space for the other lads to run into, and obviously mean more opportunities to score.”
