Rovers suffered defeat at the death at Home Park when Conor Grant converted from the penalty spot to deny Richie Wellens side a deserved point.
Jordy Hiwula had given Rovers the lead around ten minutes into the second half and had chances to stretch the lead further Tiago Cukur put him through on goal – some excellent defending by James Wilson denied him.
The home side hit back just over 15 minutes later when Luke Jephcott (with a little help from the post) scored from the spot. Both sides continued to create chances but with the game in the balance it was to be a second penalty which decided things.
This time Grant sent Pontus Dahlberg the wrong way and secured his side three points.
