Jordy Hiwula spoke to the media after the Papa John’s Trophy tie against Rotherham United at the Keepmoat Stadium.
The 26-year-old made his competitive debut for the club after six weeks out with an ankle injury.
On his fitness:
“It’s been frustrating for me being injured because I wanted to come in and hit the ground running.
“The aim now is to take it game by game and build myself up, I’ve been at every single game trying to help the lads while I haven’t been involved.
“As a new player I’ve tried to get amongst the lads, I’ve built a few relationships already which hopefully we can implement on the pitch.”
On a disappointing result against Rotherham:
“It wasn’t our best performance and the goals we let in were too easy, we have to try and find a way through this bad run.
“We worked a few decent openings and if one of those goes in then it gives us something to build on.
“We looked a threat at times but the key is to keep striving to get in those areas and take chances.”
