Rovers’ U18s head to Huddersfield Town looking to put their 4-0 defeat to Mansfield Town behind them.
Huddersfield has had a similar start to the season as Rovers, having lost two and won two games. They are one place behind Rovers in the league table, propped up in seventh.
Rovers’ away form has been impressive this term, winning both games on the road against Lincoln City and Scunthorpe United. The Terriers are yet to win at home.
U18s boss Gary McSheffrey will be without long-term absentees Owen Scattergood (foot), Tavonga Kuleya (shoulder) and Tom Henson (hamstring). Meanwhile, Alek Wolny will return to contention after the striker recently completed his isolation period after contracting COVID-19.
The game will kick-off at 11am on September 18.
