Rovers’ U18s recorded a convincing 3-0 friendly win over Emley Academy.
In light of the league fixture against Harrogate Town being postponed, Rovers responded quickly arranging a friendly with Emley to help maintain match fitness.
A first-half goal from Faris Khan complimented by second-half strikes from Owen Scattergood and Tom Parkinson secured the win for Gary McSheffrey’s side.
Other Academy age groups took the opportunity to watch on and learn from the lads whose foot steps they are following.
The U18s return to competitve action on September 11 when they host Mansfield Town.
