Club Doncaster is the brand that connects Doncaster’s elite sports teams and manages the delivery of events at Doncaster’s Keepmoat Stadium and associated Elite Performance Centre and Sports Park.

We are looking for an experienced person who is able to be an outstanding leader in relation to the safety of the stadium and associated activities. The person will lead the match day operations department to ensure that off the pitch our events and fixtures shine, whilst ensuring we are legally complaint with our safety certificate and event protocols.
They will be a part of a small team to achieve the highest possible standards and perception of the positive and exciting things that happen at the stadium and training ground every single day.
The operations team consists of a number of areas such as maintenance, grounds maintenance, and domestic services. There will be a need for the role to work closely with these areas to ensure safety compliance across these areas and the Club Doncaster business.

The Role
Reporting to the chief operating officer, as a part time permanent employee, the role will lead and supervise during match days, and advise on other safety related projects and works at other occasions in the week. Whilst this is a management role, the successful person should live by the family culture of the brand, and have experience of working and managing related areas, and able to support departments on a practical level when needed.
You will work with the chief operating officer and be a key lead for events and match days, resolving and advising on management and operational issues, and able to appropriately lead by example an important team to maintain the highest standards.
Successful applicants, should have experience in a previous role in an elite sport premises, and ensure they are in possession of a level 4 safety spectator and management qualification. It would be desirable to have undertaken additional formal based qualifications or work experience within Sports / Operational Management or health and safety.
Skills required
• Experience Managing staff and multiple priorities
• Previous experience within a leisure venue or equivalent
• Experience of monitoring standards, and empowering staff
• Awareness of the elite sports culture
• Level 4 qualification in Spectator Management
• Ability to manage conflicting and changing priorities
• Excellent communication skills
• Be able to work in a professional and responsible manner.
• Have excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm in all situations
Personal qualities
• Punctual and have an excellent record of attendance.
• Willing to learn and committed to achieving high standards within their work.
