Rovers' annual Junior Takeover Day returned for our Sky Bet League One match against Crewe Alexandra and was a roaring success.
The Junior Takeover Day was in partnership with LNER.
20 young Rovers fans worked with staff at the club on the matchday taking on roles across various departments.
Roles on the day included:
- First-team manager
- First-team players
- Referee
- Operations manager
- Safety officer
- Groundsperson
- Box Office assistant
- Club shop assistant
- Commercial manager
- Media manager
- Commentators
- Big screen operator
- PA announcer
- Donny Dog assistants
- Matchday photographer
Participants were rewarded with certificates for their hard work alongside goody bags full of special Rovers merchandise.
Rovers' marketing manager Mark Hughesman said: "It was a fantastic day, and it was great to see so many kids getting involved with smiles on their faces.
"After postponing Junior Takeover Day for the last couple of years due to COVID-19 it was great to be back doing what we do best off the pitch with fan engagement.
"Our thanks also go to LNER who helped make the day possible."
