James Oldham will be the man in the middle for Rovers’ Sky Bet League One match against Bolton Wanderers.
He started officiating in the National League in 2018 before taking charge of his first EFL game a year later for Carlisle United against Crawley Town.
Oldham has officiated Rovers once already this season in the 2-1 defeat to Oxford United at the Eco-Power Stadium where he brandished three yellow cards for Gary McSheffrey’s side.
He will be supported by Steve Rushton and Danny Gratton on the lines, while David Hunt has been appointed the fourth official.
