Knoyle's focused on keeping positive results coming

19 August 2022

Kyle Knoyle is focused on maintaining positive momentum with Rovers as the club go four games unbeaten in Sky Bet League Two.

Rovers take on early league leaders Salford City, who are also unbeaten this term, but Knoyle is only concerned about what his team does on the day.

He said: “It is still early days. You cannot look at the table. We are going to continue doing what we are doing, and not worry about where other teams are in the league.

“We have to be ready for every matchday regardless of where the opposition is in the table.

“As a group, we have a strong mentality. We are all resilient. You can see across the team we have belief. Even the lads who have come off the bench have made an instant impact.

“Behind the scenes, we are continuing to work hard to make sure this momentum doesn’t stop. We want to keep positive results coming.”

Knoyle was in League Two’s team of the year when he last played in the division and is taking experiences from that as well as Rovers’ relegation last season.

He added: “Having been promoted from this league before I know how good it feels. It’s relieving because it shows that every single day of hardwork that you have put in has counted towards something.

“Promotion gives you a great feeling and I am itching to get that feeling again.

“Last season’s experiences have helped me develop leadership qualities. I keep growing as a player and a leader.”
