Ben Speedie will be the man in the middle when Rovers take on Sutton United in Sky Bet League Two this weekend.
The Merseyside-based official joined the EFL list of referees at the start of the 2020/21 campaign, with his first game involving Rovers a 1-0 defeat at Crewe Alexandra in March 2021.
Speedie was the referee when Rovers beat Lincoln City 1-0 at the LNER Stadium in February, and handed out a total of 96 yellow cards and four reds across 33 games last season. His first game of this campaign was the 2-2 draw between Accrington Stanley and Charlton Athletic on the opening day of the Sky Bet League One season.
On Saturday he will be assisted by Simon Clayton and Steve Durnall, the fourth official is Adrian Waters.
