Kyle Knoyle has had a memorable festive period off the pitch and is keen to ensure it ends in a positive manner on it too.
Knoyle has celebrated his first Christmas as a dad while tackling the busy period of fixtures.
And he is looking for Rovers to build on Thursday’s win over Rochdale as they tackle the test of Carlisle United on New Year’s Day.
Knoyle on the win over Rochdale:
“It was important to bounce back from the Tranmere game and we showed different sides of ourselves - that we can battle and back each other up.
“We showed great resilience and especially Tom [Anderson], the skipper.”
On mixing the busy festive period with his first Christmas as a dad:
“It’s been a busy Christmas but a really special one for me to spend with my family and especially the little one. I’ve enjoyed it.
“It was extra special getting the win over Rochdale as well.
“It’s been about switching on and off. When I get home I switch off from football and when I’m back in I’ve got my football head on. It’s all part of it and I’m enjoying it all.”
On heading into 2023:
“As I’ve grown older I just take it week by week. I’ve got big ambitions for the year both personally and collectively.”
