Simon Mather will be the man in the middle when Rovers take on Walsall in Sky Bet League Two on Friday night.
The Manchester-based official was added to the EFL list of referees at the start of last season, and took charge of Rovers for the first time in a 1-1 draw at Crewe Alexandra in November 2021.
He has refereed 15 games so far in the current campaign, handing out 61 yellow cards and two reds in the process.
Mather will be assisted by Robert Atkins and Bradley Hall at the Eco-Power Stadium, Anthony Moore is the fourth official.
