Charlie Seaman believes the win over Rochdale showed the togetherness within the Rovers group.
Seaman struck the opener at the Eco-Power Stadium, and was pleased his first goal of the season helped his side earn three points.
On the win:
“It was a tough game and we’ve probably had ones where we’ve played better but credit to the lads we got the win and that is all that matters.
“The gaffer wanted us to respond from the performance and result on Boxing Day, and we had that belief that we could do that.
“It’s always nice to score, we worked on the free-kick and I’m happy to get on the end of it and get my first of the season.
On reacting to being pegged back:
“It was a tough one to take, conceding goals quickly wasn’t what we wanted but then we dug in and found a way to pick up three points.
“When you’re winning at half-time you’re expecting the opposition to come at you because they need points too, but I thought we handled that well.
“We stuck together until the final whistle, it wasn’t pretty at times but we can take a lot from the way we all looked after each other.
“We’ve got another game coming up quickly which is what the Christmas period is all about, so we’ll recover now and get ready for that one.”
