Rovers commercial partner, CityFibre, is building momentum in its mission to bring next-generation digital infrastructure within reach of almost every home and business in Doncaster, with services now live and available in parts of Bessacarr, Cantley and Wheatley.
CityFibre, the UK’s largest independent full fibre platform, is investing up to £4bn to bring full fibre connectivity to up to 8 million homes across the UK. In Doncaster, CityFibre is investing at least £25m in delivering its Gigabit City transformation, bringing high speed and high-capacity full fibre broadband within reach of almost every home and business locally.
Natalie Ward, city manager for Doncaster said: “It’s vitally important to us that we get as involved as possible in the communities that we operate in. We’re thrilled to be partnered with Doncaster Rovers who are such a long-standing pillar of the local community and we look forward to what we can bring to the fans and local residents this year.”

CityFibre is working closely with Doncaster’s communities and stakeholders, including Doncaster Council, to manage disruption and ensure a fast and successful roll-out, with residents kept informed by mailings ahead of works in their streets.
