Dan Gardner spoke to the media following 4-0 defeat at Portsmouth on Saturday.
The midfielder was key to much of Rovers’ good play in the first half as he completed his first 90 minutes in the league for Rovers.
On defeat to Portsmouth:
“I thought we played well in the first half, we just didn’t take our chances and that’s been the story of our season.
“It’s not good enough and we know that. We’re trying every day in training to make it better.
“The older ones try to use our experience, but the goals come about because of a few individual mistakes, and we can’t do that all the time. We’ll work on things and put it right for Tuesday.”
On playing 90 minutes:
“I feel alright. I tired a bit after 75 minutes, but it’s my first 90 in a long time.
“It’s been good to play again. It was a disappointing result, but I’m pleased to be out there and trying to get results with the lads.
“I think it’ll take a couple of games to get up to full fitness but I’m getting there.”
