PREVIEW | Rovers U18s vs Rotherham U18s

18 February 2022

Rovers U18s host local rivals Rotherham United U18s on the new 3G pitch at the Eco-Power Stadium.

Rovers come into the game on the back of a difficult 1-0 defeat to Bradford City U18s where a total of three players were sent off across both teams. As a result, centre back Michael Nesbitt and captain Dan Wilds will miss the match through suspension.

Tony Cook’s side are sixth in the league table on 19 points.

Rotherham are in fourth on 24 points, having won three of their last matches on the bounce.

In the reverse league fixture, Rovers beat the Millers convincingly 2-0 with goals from Jack Raper and Owen Scattergood on that day. In the FA Youth Cup third round, Rovers agonisingly lost 2-1 to Rotherham in added extra time, having led for 89 minutes prior.

The game will take place on the new 3G pitch at the Eco-Power Stadium from 11am.
