Rovers defender Ollie Younger says the players gave everything in the defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.
Since arriving from Sunderland in January, Younger has put in a string of impressive performances for Rovers. He was disappointed to have held firm against Wednesday until the 70th minute, before their quality told.
On the defeat to Wednesday:
“It’s disappointing to have lost the lead, given the effort the lads put in.
“If we went 2-0 up, it would have been a different game, but Sheffield Wednesday put in a strong performance in the end.
“As a defender, I always want to keep clean sheets and some of the goals were soft. We could have done better but, we must pick ourselves up and go again.”
On the team spirit within the group:
“Everyone in the team is giving a 100% week in, week out.
“We have had a tough run of games and gone Saturday-Tuesday for a long time. During that period we have faced some tough teams.
“Between us we have a lot of belief that we can stay up. Heads have not gone down, we are remaining positive and together and turning our focus on the next game.”
