Rovers are delighted to confirm the signing of left-back Ben Jackson on loan from Sky Bet Championship side Huddersfield Town for the rest of the 2021/22 campaign.
With just one recognised left-back at the club, Jackson’s arrival will add significant competition in that area of the pitch for Rovers.
The 20-year-old has built up his experience in recent seasons with loan spells at Non-League Darlington and Stockport County.
He spent the second half of last season with Sky Bet League Two side Bolton Wanderers, helping them to win promotion back to the third tier at the first attempt.
Jackson has signed in time to be included in Gary McSheffrey’s squad for Saturday’s game against Plymouth Argyle.
