Second year scholar Luke Chadwick has joined Sheffield FC on work experience for an initial month.

The goalkeeper heads out to the step four outfit which will be his second work experience of the season, after a successful spell at Staveley Miners Welfare where he kept four clean sheets in seven games.

Chadwick will be eligible to play in games with Rovers U18s should Sheffield have a period without games.

Rovers Academy manager Tony Cook said: "On the back of a successful workplacement with fifth-tier Staveley, myself, Steve Hernandez [first-team goalkeeping coach] and Nick Buxton [Academy goalkeeping coach] felt that it was important to get him back out into men's football.

"Sheffield has given Luke the opportunity to join them while their goalkeeper is out of action.

"It is a wonderful experience for Luke and he is relishing the opportunity to be back out playing in front of crowds in competitive football."
