Reo Griffiths says he can’t wait to pull on a red and white shirt after signing a two-and-a-half year deal with Rovers.
The 21-year-old striker arrived from French side Olympique Lyon on deadline day, and believes now is the right time to return to English football.
He said: “I’m delighted to be here, Doncaster is a great club and they have given me the opportunity to play regular football which is massive for me.
“I can’t explain how excited I am to get my boots on and wear the red shirt for the first time.
“The fans can expect a lot of effort from me, I’ll do everything I can for the team and hopefully get some goals early to show them what I’m about.”
Having been in attendance for Rovers’ game against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday, Griffiths is already looking forward to making an impact in the team.
He added: “I can’t wait to get started and playing with the lads, I think this will be a really good fit at this stage of my career.
“I’ve trained with the boys already and we’ve got some real quality here, so to come into that is exciting.
“I was at the game on Saturday and kicking every ball, to see the amount of chances we created made me even more buzzing to get on the pitch.”
