Joseph Olowu spoke to the media ahead of a visit from Fleetwood Town this weekend.
The centre back scored his third goal of the season last time out and is determined to keep giving everything to help Rovers climb the table.
On keeping positive:
“We’ve looked back on last weekend’s match and put that to bed. Now we’ve shifted our focus onto Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
“In training, everyone’s spirits are high, and everyone is encouraging each other. We’re not in an ideal position, but if we can get a few results confidence will grow, and we can push on from there.
“We have to concentrate on the positives and how we as a group can push on and improve because that’s all we can do at the moment.”
On showing fighting spirit:
“I’m going to do everything within my means to help the team as a whole push forward.
“We need to prove to everyone that we’re still here and we’re going to keep fighting. It doesn’t matter what position we’re in, we will keep fighting for every ball, every second pass and try to get the club out this position.”
On goal scoring this season:
“When I was playing Sunday league, I used to score a lot of goals but it’s something that’s come back into my game this season so hopefully there’s more to come.
“I just want to get on the end of every set piece and that’s my best chance of scoring a goal.”
