Rovers U18s recorded back-to-back wins with victory against Scunthorpe United at Cantley Park.

First year scholar Tom Chambers returned between the sticks as Luke Chadwick moved to Sheffield FC on work experience for a month.

The goalkeeper put in an assured performance between the sticks, keeping Rovers U18s second consecutive clean sheet - after the previous 1-0 win against Mansfield Town.

As storm Malik battered Cantley Park, the game struggled to move out of first gear with both teams failing to muster any notable chances on goal in the first half.

Tony Cook’s side came out with a bee in their bonnet for the second half. Jack Raper left the goal posts rattling from a free kick as Rovers fired warning shots towards the Iron.

Rovers top goal scorer Jack Goodman then stepped up to net a brace in the second half to secure a convincing win against a physical Scunthorpe side.

The result moved Rovers up to fourth in the Youth Alliance League and Tony Cook's side have two games in hand over current leaders Lincoln City.
