Biggins pleased to get minutes

14 July 2022

Harrison Biggins says it was a great feeling to make his first appearance of pre-season against Spennymoor Town on Wednesday night.

The 26-year-old got 60 minutes under his belt after missing the friendlies at Armthorpe Welfare and Nuneaton Borough.

He said: “It’s been a good first few weeks. I’ll feel really settled and I’m getting on with the lads really well which is all you can ask.

“It was my first game and it felt good, I had a little knock which meant I missed a few days and since then I’ve been building myself back up.

“I got a good hour in the tank and it feels a while since I last played, to be back out there and having that winning feeling was great.”

Biggins is in no doubt as to where the Rovers squad and coaching staff should be aiming to finish in the upcoming Sky Bet League Two campaign.

He added: “I’m looking forward to getting the season going, this is a massive club and somewhere I really want to come and enjoy my football.

“I think we’ve got to be honest with ourselves and our only aim can be to bounce back at the first attempt, we’ve got a squad capable of doing that.

“It’s a competitive league and we back ourselves to be there or there about come the end of the season in May.”
