Concerts roaring success at the Eco-Power Stadium

25 July 2022

Club Doncaster succesfully held two popular concerts at the Eco-Power Stadium over the summer of 2022.

In May 2022 The Killers visited Doncaster in what was a sell-out occasion with 25,000 people filling out the Eco-Power Stadium. Then Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott visited in July 2022, with over 20,000 people turning out that evening.

Commercial manager Gaynor Waddington said: "The entire team at Club Doncaster work tirelessly pulling these events together and it’s so good to see the smiles on faces of all our of guests when a plan comes together.

"It’s incredible being part of a vast team of fantastic people at the club and on more than one occasion last night I had to pinch myself that this is actually my job."

Chief commercial officer Jon Warburton added: "I’m still on cloud nine after Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott's concert at the Eco-Power Stadium in partnership with SJM Concerts.

"More than 20,000 people in the ground and operationally fantastic after building upon a few lessons learned at The Killers concert back in May.

"We feel genuinely humbled by the messages we receive and are honoured to be bringing opportunities like this to the City.

"It was also a pleasure to have a buzzing hospitality area with many of our 100 Club partners in the room with a number of new business introductions formed on the evening in an informal setting.

"We’re really proud of everything that we are doing at the club currently, and with the Rugby League World Cup 2021 coming in October, the stadium is set for another roaring few months."
