Second half goals from George Miller and Jack Goodman provided Rovers with a win in their first game of the 2022 pre-season campaign.
The game against local non-league side Armthorpe, was used as an opportunity to get match minutes into legs and to cast an eye over trialists.
After missing bundles of chances in the first-half, Rovers finally found the target in the second period with Miller scoring within 10 minutes of coming on and second year scholar Goodman later added his name to the scoresheet.
Armthorpe did test Rovers, with U18 left back Jak Whiting having to clear one of their chances off the line.
