Madden spent two decades working for the Scottish FA, overseeing more than 1000 matches including the Scottish Cup and League Cup finals.
In his last season in Scotland, was in charge of 40 games, handing out 119 yellow cards and three reds.
The former FIFA referee will be assisted by Wayne Grunnill and Anthony Moore at the Utilita Energy Stadium. Gary Kellett will be the fourth official.
