Dozens of season ticket holders received special deliveries over the last few weeks - with members of the Rovers squad acting as postmen.
To show our appreciation for the incredible support that we continue to receive, more than 100 season ticket cards were hand-delivered by players and manager Gary McSheffrey.
Individuals who purchased a season ticket for the new campaign were drawn out at random to have their cards delivered, with players hitting the road all across the borough.
Chief operating officer Shaun Lockwood said: “The loyalty and support shown by our season ticket holders have been incredible and we wanted to show our appreciation with something memorable.
“It was wonderful to see excitement on plenty of faces as doors were opened to find members of the squad standing on doorsteps.
“I know the players enjoyed meeting our fans and knowing how much you are behind them has given them a boost going into the new season.
“We thank everyone for their wonderful support and look forward to seeing you back at the Eco-Power Stadium.”
