Lee Tomlin says he’s pleased to find a footballing home to make him happy again after agreeing a one-year deal with Rovers.
The 33-year-old has impressed while on trial at the club and felt the move was the right one at this stage in his career.
He said: The manager and myself had a conversation and given how much I’m enjoying myself it felt like an easy decision to sign.
“Money doesn’t matter to me, I’ve had that and hated football but being here I’ve enjoyed it more than ever.
“If I’m being honest I didn’t think football could make me happy again, but I’ve not been this happy in a long time.”
After signing with just over a week to go until the start of the Sky Bet League Two campaign, Tomlin is excited to get down to business.
He added: “I’ve seen the messages on social media and that’s great, I want to do well for the club, the manager, his staff, players and everyone involved.
“When you’re a free agent you have to take your ego out of it and get used to the situation you’re in, but I’ll be happy to see my name back on the team sheet.
“We have to be switched on and ready to go now, we have one pre-season game left and then it’s all systems go towards Bradford.”
