Rovers playing and replica kit will carry the logo of Doncaster-based international sportswear brand OXEN for the 2022/23 season.
One of the fastest growing sportswear brands in the UK, OXEN has produced Rovers’ new home and away kits for the coming campaign, with their logo replacing the Club Doncaster branding from recent years.
OXEN is part of the Elite Pro Sports group to which Rovers have been associated for several years and which provided valuable assistance to the club through the worst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Rovers head of football operations James Coppinger has been heavily involved in the design process of the new kit and has worked closely with OXEN to grow the relationship.
He said: “It’s an unbelievable partnership with a local brand and an ambitious brand as well.
“With the quality of the clothes we’ve been given, not just the kit, I think they’ll do really well.
“I’ve been blown away by their support. It’s been massive.
“To be able to go down and liaise with them on design, and the quality, it’s been brilliant.
“For players, it’s their uniform. They’re wearing training kit every day, they’ve got the badge on everything. It matters.
“OXEN and Elite Pro Sports have been brilliant for us. From a club perspective we want to thank them and get fans to support them as well.”
OXEN founder Shane Miller said: “While we’ve been in partnership with Rovers for a number of years, it’s now fantastic to see our branding across the kits for the new season.
“It’s a brand that we are very passionate about and one we will take great pride in seeing on the Rovers playing and replica kits.
“We see the club is having a bit of a reset this summer and there’s a lot of positivity coming out of the place and we are really happy to be a part of it.
“We are hopeful that the new kit will go down really well with the Rovers fanbase.
“We’ve spent a lot of time working with the club on the design and we’ve also incorporated some additional features to elevate the shirt.”
Other sports teams currently wearing OXEN kit include Leeds Rhinos, England Rugby League and Gloucester Rugby.
The design of the new home kit will be revealed at a special event on Thursday evening. It will go on sale online from 9am on Friday and in the club shop between 10am and 12.45pm. The shop will be open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.
The away kit will be unveiled at a later date.
