Rovers have confirmed their pre-season schedule as preparations continue for the start of the 2022/23 Sky Bet League Two campaign.
Gary McSheffrey’s side will start with their annual community friendly on Saturday July 2, a trip to Armthorpe Welfare at the Marra Falcons Stadium, kick-off 3pm.
They then take on non-league Nuneaton Borough on Saturday July 9, before facing National League North side Spennymoor four days later.
Rovers play their first home game of pre-season against an unnamed Sky Bet Championship outfit on Saturday July 16, with details to be finalised shortly. That is before taking on South Yorkshire neighbours Rotherham United at the Eco-Power Stadium on Tuesday July 19.
They round off their schedule with a trip to Northern Premier League Premier Division side FC United of Manchester on Saturday July 23, before the League Two season gets underway a week later.
