Sam Allison has been appointed referee for Rovers’ clash with Charlton Athletic on Saturday.
The Wiltshire official - a firefighter by trade - has taken charge of 27 matches this term, with the majority coming in Sky Bet League One and League Two. He has issued 106 yellow cards and six red across those games.
This will be his first time refereeing a game involving Rovers, having only been promoted to the EFL last season. His appointment made headline news as he became the first black referee in the top four English leagues since Urriah Rennie retired in 2009.
Allison will be assisted by Alan Clayton and Conor Brown on Saturday while Paul Evans has been assigned fourth official duties.
