Club Doncaster’s social café returns, and it is back bigger than before thanks to our partners.
Prior to the pandemic, Club Doncaster worked closely with MIND to deliver a regular social café that allowed people to come together in an informal scenario and speak about mental health or get helpful advice.
Starting tomorrow, the social café’s return bigger and better and will now embed the Club Doncaster Foundation’s regular Walk and Talk session into the setting, a programme that began during the pandemic to combat social isolation following lockdowns.
The new social café will be hosted in the Belle Vue Bar with activities such as bingo, arcade machines, table tennis and other traditional board games with food and drink available. As part of the refreshed offering, participants will also have chance to be part of the Walk and Talk session, with a walk around the lakes before returning to the Belle Vue Bar.
Both Club Doncaster and Club Doncaster Foundation will be looking to host the social café’s as a multi-service offering and are extending an invitation to any organisations that support the mental health wellbeing of individuals to join us as we continue to try and support those with mental health or social isolation problems across Doncaster.
The Belle Vue bar will be open from 11am for hot drinks with the walk taking place from there at 12pm.
Participants are asked to pay £3 for the four hours. The price also includes a free hot drink from the bar.
