In opposition: Cheltenham Town - form guide

4 March 2022

Rovers will travel to Cheltenham Town in their latest Sky Bet League One test.

Michael Duff’s side has accumulated 41 points through 34 league games and sit 10 points ahead of the relegation zone.

The Robins enter the weekend having won just two of their last 15 games in all competitions, registering five losses and eight draws. Adding to that, the Robins have won just two league games in their last 10 competitive league fixtures, combined with two losses and six draws.

The Robins have amassed nine wins, 14 draws and 11 losses in their league matches this season.

While Cheltenham began the season with four wins across all competitions in the first two months of the 2021/22 season, the team has found it hard to find consistent form since the start of the 2022 calendar year. They have won just two games, drawn seven and lost two in that period.

In all games this season, the Robins have nine clean sheets. Cheltenham have allowed opponents to score two or more goals in 20 games in all competitions during the 2021/22 campaign.

In the month of February, the Robins conceded 10 goals in six League One games, including a thrilling 5-5 draw with Wycombe Wanderers just two weeks ago.

They have fared better at home this season, where they have won eight and drawn eight.

A mixture of veteran experience and youthful energy has provided Duff’s side with confidence that they can manage to compete another year in League One and avoid an immediate return back to Sky Bet League Two next season.

The Robins have scored 12 goals in their last six league matches. That includes seven goals at home since the start of January.
