Eight U18 players will leave Rovers at the end of their scholarships.

Luke Chadwick, Tom Henson, Michael Nesbitt, Dan Wilds, Corie Cole, Will Hollings, Alex Wolny and Tavonga Kuleya will leave the club when their apprenticeships expire this summer.

Kuleya will go through his rehab programme with the club and join in pre-season with first-team management and players. At the end of his rehab, his situation will be reviewed.

Tom Chambers, Alex Fletcher, Jak Whiting, Charlie Petch, Faris Khan, Jack Raper, Josh Lindley, Tom Parkinson, Ethan Harrison and Jack Goodman have completed the first year scholarship as well as Owen Scattergood who has completed his first year at Club Doncaster Sports College. They will all return to start their second year this summer.

Academy manager Tony Cook said: “It is never easy deciding not to offer professional contracts, but we have a strong support structure in place to be able to look after the players as they make the next steps of their careers away from the football club.

“On behalf of everyone at Rovers and within the Academy, we thank the eight departing players for their efforts and wish them all the best moving forward with their careers.”
