Rovers can confirm that Steve Eyre has been appointed the assistant manager of the first team following the recent review of football operations.
Salford-born Eyre has impressed since joining the Rovers coaching staff in March and was selected to take on greater responsibility under manager Gary McSheffrey.
Frank Sinclair has accepted the role of head of youth development phase within the Rovers Academy.
The 50-year-old joined Rovers in October, initially as an Academy coach before stepping up as McSheffrey’s assistant at first team level.
