Rovers' relegation to Sky Bet League Two was confirmed with a 1-1 draw away to Oxford on the final day of the 2021/22 season.
Gary McSheffrey's side found themselves a goal down at half-time, but a second half strike from Norwich City loanee Josh Martin ultimately secured a point for Rovers.
