‘KENO CUP 2022’
Since the sudden passing of former Rovers and Barnsley youth team coach Ian Kennedy in 2015, both clubs’ U14 teams have played a cup match in his name every year since.
Rovers U14s came out of the cup tie as 2-1 winners.
ACADEMY STAFF AND PLAYERS AT BIG BANG
Staff at Club Doncaster came together to put on 2022’s Big Bang event at the Eco-Power Stadium on Thursday, November 3.
Academy staff and U18 players all volunteered on the evening working on ticketing booths.
U8s OFFERED NEW DEALS
Fraser Sneap and Mason Fennell was invited down to Cantley Park with their families for a behind-the-scenes tour and the chance to watch a first-team training session.
They had the chance to meet the players after training and they were then called up to Danny Schofield’s office as he offered them letters of intent to sign the pair in the summer of 2023.
TOBIAS COUGHLIN’S TRAINING GROUND TREAT
U12s player Tobias Coughlin snapped his ACL early into the football season and could miss most of the action until next season.
The Rovers first-team squad all signed an Academy shirt for him that Danny Schofield later presented him with in his office at Cantley Park after he was invited down for the morning.
