Rovers to mark Remembrance Day vs King's Lynn

4 November 2022

Rovers will carry out our annual Remembrance Day service prior to the FA Cup tie with King's Lynn Town on Saturday, November 5.

Representatives from the Royal British Legion will be present at the game to conduct the service prior to kick-off, which will include a two minute silence and the sounding of the Last Post.

The period will provide an opportunity to remember the service and sacrifice of those who have defended our freedom and way of life and pay tribute to those who have lost their lives in doing so.

Due to the service, we politely request that all supporters be in their seats by 2.55pm in order to respectfully observe proceedings.

We also request that those intending to pay for entry to the stadium on the day arrive early in order to ensure you are in your seat by the requested time.

Order of service
  • Representatives from Rovers, King's Lynn Town and the Royal British Legion will lay poppy wreaths in the centre circle.
  • A reciting of the Exhortation will be followed by the sounding of the Last Post.
  • A two minute silence will then be held, starting and concluding with the playing of the bugle.
