Gary McSheffrey was pleased with his side’s response in the second half of the draw against Leyton Orient.
Harrison Biggins’ header secured a point at the Eco-Power Stadium against a team who had conceded just six goals in the league heading into the game.
On the performance:
“In the first-half we sat off too much and showed them too much respect, we didn’t lay a finger on them which was disappointing.
“They were top for a reason but we had to get closer to them, we had to change things at half-time and mix things up.
“We made three changes at half-time and the message was to have a go and try and hurt them, we got players further forward and looked more of a threat.”
On Max Woltman’s impact:
“Max was good and showed a lot of energy with his pressing, when he got on the ball he had some nice touches and got us moving.
“He saw things and players moving off him, he was a real outlet and almost created a chance for himself but the defender made a good block.
“He did everything we asked of him and now with a performance like that he’s given himself a real chance of getting more minutes on the pitch.”
