Marc Edwards will be the man in the middle when Rovers take on Barnsley in the Papa John’s Trophy on Tuesday night.
The Durham-based official was added to the EFL list of referees at the start of the 2019/20 campaign, and first refereed a Rovers game in a 3-2 defeat to Rotherham United in the EFL Trophy.
He has taken charge of six games so far this season, with the majority coming in Sky Bet League Two, and has handed out 18 yellow cards in that time.
Edwards will be assisted by Abbas Khan and Lewis Raper at the Eco-Power Stadium, David Richardson is the fourth official.
