Peter Wright will be the man in the middle when Rovers travel to Carlisle United in Sky Bet League Two this weekend.
The Merseyside-based official was added to the EFL list of referees ahead of the 2018/19 campaign, and has refereed Rovers on several occasions since then.
Wright has taken charge of 11 games so far this season, handing out 38 yellow cards in the process.
He will be assisted by Paul Newhouse and Darren Williams at Brunton Park, Peter Gooch is the fourth official.
