Alex Baptiste says he will give his all for Rovers after signing a one-year deal at the club.
The centre-back arrives after impressing on trial and will provide competition for Tom Anderson and Joe Wright throughout the season.
Baptiste said: “I’m very pleased to get this deal done. It has been a whirlwind two weeks. I came in a week on Tuesday and it was a really intense four days which ended with the game against Hull. I’m delighted to get it over the line and with the first game tomorrow, I’m buzzing to get started.
“I’ll do the best I can for the club and with the squad being relatively young I’ll do my best on the training pitch and off it.”
Baptiste is looking forward to getting the 2019/20 season underway.
He added: “We just missed out on promotion last season after the heartbreak of the play-offs but hopefully we can go one better and get to the Championship this time round.
“The lads are fantastic and the gaffers spot-on, they have a real clear ambition of where they want to go and it was big for me to sign."
